The Cherokee Downtown is CHANGING!!! The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians are currently engaging in a massive revitalization of some of the downtown structures along US 19. Phase I and II are complete, with phase III, the largest of the jobs, currently under construction. This phase includes the revitalization of (3) buildings; (2) interactive water fountains, complete with river; riverwalk; stamped concrete; and new parking lot. Future plans include more structures upon the completion of phase III.
